Saturday September 21st – “Express Yourself” Abstract Art Workshop

Have you have ever had an interest in abstract painting but do not know how to start and where to learn it?

In this class, artist Mun from The Arthingy will explore a variety of mark-making techniques with an emphasis on finding what works for you. Mun will demonstrate drawing and painting intuitively. She will also share with you a few of her favorite abstract painters and help you understand some of the concepts behind non-representational painting (painting without recognizable imagery).
You will be encouraged to try new things as a way to experience breakthroughs. You will be finding ways to develop your own way of applying paint and to compose the visual space.

During this session, you will work on one 30×30 cm stretched canvas. A complimentary gallery art frame will be provided to every student, you can frame your artwork by the end of the workshop and hang it straight to the wall.

Session includes:
-All tools to be used during the session
-Take home a 30x30cm artwork created by yourself
-We will also be providing a beautiful contemporary thin gallery frame for you to frame your artwork. You can opt to frame it at the end of the workshop, or bring home the frame.
-Delicious refreshments will be provided throughout the session
