Saturday September 19th – Chinese Painting (Mooncake Festival Theme)
Have you ever been so engrossed in painting to the point of being in a near-meditative state?
The seemingly effortless Chinese Painting allows you to meditate on the details while you paint. It is both beautiful and relaxing.
The art of Chinese Brush Painting typically embodies philosophical concepts. In this beginner Chinese Painting workshop, artist Wen Ying (文颖）will guide you through the process of discovering the traditions of Chinese Painting, and learning the most basic techniques behind Chinese Painting. You will start by experimenting with different Chinese artistic styles guided by Wen Ying on rice papers. Then create your very own Chinese Painting on a dry-mounted thick square rice paper
Join us for a Chinese Painting workshop to get away from the city’s hustle & bustle.
