Monk’s Cloth is generally used in punch needling, rug hooking, Swedish weaving and many other evenweave projects. This cloth has a loose over and under three strand weave. These strands are called floats and are used to weave the threads through.

Monk’s cloth is a very forgiving foundation fabric for punch needle, you can pull the loops out from the fabric multiple times and the weave will still be strong as ever, all you need to do is run your punch needle through the surface of the monk’s cloth several times to restore the weave into it’s original position – Perfect for beginners!

*Made of 100% cotton, it will shrink, so it should be pre-washed before use to ensure the proper size for the project at hand. Please allow 2-3cm discrepancy when you receive the product as monk’s cloth tends to fray a lot
